St Nicholas? Where? Where?

This year I almost forgot about St. Nicholas...The legend goes that a guy called Nicholas found some really poor girls...and wanted to help them. So at night, he left some money in the shoes the girls had left on the door step....

Therefore, in Romania, every year on the 5th of December night, kids polish their shoes or boots and put them in the window for St. Nicholas to see them and bring them some goodies.
And usually he does...and a stick too...if they've been bad that year.

But apparently St. Nick didn't know how to take Easy Jet to Nottingham and bring my boots something. So they cried sooooo hard all day long...I just now finished conforting them and they are sleeping peacefully on the window pane. Not even a lousy stick...:P
St. Nick...next year you have to make it up to me double! :)
