2 more weeks of travel...
Cardiff:
- capital of Wales (care parca e Ardealul nostru- asa mi se par oamenii si calmul de acolo), but seems like just a small town...
- discusions with the English on whether it's right that they spent so much money on having bilingual signs everywhere (in English and Welsh)- as Welsh is rarely spoken and only in some parts of Wales. Still, they try to preserve their language which I think is noble. It's quite an odd language...very harsh...reminds me of the Vikings for some reason...
- beautiful old university buildings
Nottingham:
- surprisingly I was NOT happy to be back...I did NOT miss it, but it was all right to be back somewhere familiar. For some reason I don't have happy memories related to Nottingham...just a few friends I made. Erika, I though of you those days. :)
Southampton:
- probably the university where I met the most British students...although friends say statistics say it's one of the most culturally diverse unis
- very very nice student halls..with interior gardens and their own bars...I was there for Halloween...so all was decorated as well
- had the best shower in the world there: had water coming from everywhere, massaging, fan, radio and light, etc. So I decided that if I will be rich one day I do not want a car or a villa...I do however want one of those showers...but then again, I can always just buy a radio to put in my bathroom...:P
- used to be England's biggest ports- which is why it got bombed in WW2 and is filled with 1960s buildings
- has some of the best AIESEC people in the UK :)
